All exercise programs are custom designed to meet the individual’s specific rehabilitation needs. This is determined by an initial assessment, which identifies the client’s injury status and creates a clear benchmark of their physical abilities.
Our skilled team of Exercise Physiologists and Physiotherapists establish the most effective rehabilitation options available to you, to speed up the healing process.

Exercise Physiology
Accredited Exercise Physiologists specialise in clinical exercise prescription, health education and the delivery of exercise based lifestyle and behaviour modification programs or services for the prevention and management of chronic diseases and injuries. Chronic Disease Management
Type II Diabetes
Type two diabetes is characterised by insulin resistance and reduced insulin secretion by the pancreas, leading to high blood sugar levels. As poor fitness is a related to the development of diabetes, by increasing physical activity the risk can be lowered and those already diagnosed with the disease can manage their condition prevent further complications.
CorpFit understand the complexity of diabetes, and so provide specialised care for the disease itself, as well as any other related conditions which may occur as a result. We prescribe aerobic and resistance exercise in a safe and supportive environment, with the aim of reducing the symptoms and severity of the disease. Our focus is on helping clients achieve better health, independence and quality of life.
In addition to the tailored exercise program, our health network enables linkages with experienced Diabetes Educators to support the management of Type II Diabetes.
Type I Diabetes
Type one diabetes is an autoimmune disease where the insulin-producing cells of the pancreas are destroyed by the body’s own immune system. This leads to insulin deficiency and high blood glucose levels.
CorpFit assists clients in managing their diabetes through an integration of various exercise types. Our programs are consistent and safe, with the aim to provide a solid plan in order to create the most health benefits for our clients.
In addition to the tailored exercise program, our health Network enables linkages with experienced Diabetes Educators to support the management of Type I Diabetes.
Obesity
Obesity is typically defined as having a body mass index (BMI) of 30 or greater, and is related to many chronic diseases such as cardiovascular disease, hypertension, stroke, diabetes, gallbladder disease and some cancers. (ACSM guidelines)
CorpFit provides clients with safe and effective weight-loss strategies in order to encourage sustainable changes. Education, in conjunction with individualised and gradually progressed aerobic and resistance programming, assists clients in achieving and maintaining health.
Asthma
Asthma is described as a reversible airflow obstruction. Bronchial inflammation, which may be triggered by allergens and inhaled irritants, leads to the common symptoms associated with the condition.
CorpFit focuses on educating clients on the benefits that exercise has in managing asthma symptoms. With a combination of both aerobic and strengthening exercise, our programs aim to not only manage the asthma, but also improve general fitness and quality of life in a safe and supportive environment.
In addition to the tailored exercise program, our health network enables linkages with experienced Asthma Educators to support the management of Asthma.
Cancer
Cancer is a term used for disease in which abnormal cells divide without control and are able to invade other tissues. Cancer cells can spread to other parts of the body through blood and lymph systems.
There’s abundant evidence that exercise and a healthy diet can help prevent people from getting cancer. The latest information shows that exercise for cancer patients can also keep cancer from recurring .Several recent studies suggest that higher levels of physical activity are associated with a reduced risk of the cancer coming back, and a longer survival after a cancer diagnosis. CorpFit works with the patient and treating practitioners to maximise the health and wellbeing of Cancer patients.

Home-Based Exercise Program
Exercise programs are important in regaining full function following a work injury, even after the injury has healed.
Our locally based health professionals will take the time to properly assess an individual’s condition, determine any necessary treatment and create a tailored exercise program to aid their recovery.
Is your workplace set up to accommodate the specific requirements of an injured worker? How will your employee cope when they return to work?
How it works
As part of the personalised rehabilitation program, we will provide the individual with home exercise sheets and demonstrate how to safely and effectively carry out each exercise. We will provide ongoing support by monitoring progress and adapting the exercise program according to the individual’s needs.
The length of a home-based program varies depending on the extent of the injury and the individual’s ability to self manage the program and exercises. However, 8 to 12 weeks is generally recommended to achieve successful return to work outcomes.

Gym-Based Exercise Program
Whether it be back pain, a sprained ankle or torn muscle, specific exercises provided by a qualified Physiotherapist or Exercise Physiologist can contribute significantly to their rehabilitation.
How it works
Exercise therapy empowers the individual to take control of their recovery without being heavily reliant on a physiotherapist.
Exercise helps to increase energy and range of motion, strengthen the muscles, circulate blood flow and improve general cardiovascular health.
Following an initial assessment, the individual will be shown how to safely carry out exercises specifically designed to target their rehabilitation needs. Some examples of exercises include:
- Core stability for back related injuries
- Strengthening exercises – balancing and different ranges of movement
- Series of stretches specific to the injury
We will provide ongoing support by monitoring progress and adapting the exercise program according to the individual’s needs.
The length of a gym-based program varies depending on the extent of the injury and the individual’s ability to self manage the program and exercises. However, 8 to 12 weeks is generally recommended to achieve successful return to work outcomes.

Hydrotherapy
Hydrotherapy is a form of physiotherapy treatment or exercises performed in a heated pool.
The buoyancy and (resistance) of water you experience creates a special therapeutic environment unlike any other form of exercise, which is why it is often recommended for rehabilitating injuries.
How it works
Our hydrotherapy programs are set up and monitored by an accredited exercise physiologist, who is qualified and experienced in providing hydrotherapy treatment.
Following an initial assessment, the individual will receive a hydrotherapy program designed to target their specific rehabilitation needs. We will step them through the exercises and provide ongoing support to monitor progress.
The length of a hydrotherapy program varies depending on the extent of the injury, recovery and the individual’s (ability) to self manage the program and exercises. Where appropriate, a hydrotherapy program will progress to a land-based gym program.

Hydrotherapy assists you to:
- Begin gentle exercises soon after injury, which helps speed up the rate of recovery
- Strengthen your muscles
